josh henderson / jason hirata / kay kay and his weathered underground

josh henderson has been doling out heaps of poutine and burgers and bacon jam for years now, parking the shiny skillet trailer in front of your office, birthday party, ex-boss's wedding. josh enters 2010 with a eyes toward a bricks and mortar project. a stable for the fleet. monday he shows us his range. and, how: cucumbers, mussels & mint, coriander-braised duck leg, star anise ginger cake. – WR

jason hirata's art doesn't answer questions, it creates them. is that a jumble of lights or a sculpture? can a fruitcake be a catalyst for making art? jason's work crosses multiple mediums and explores many themes. he currently has an installation (with frequent collaborator sol hashemi) at greg kucera gallery and is preparing for an upcoming show at james harris gallery. jason is a recent graduate of the university of washington. – DJ & SJ

kay kay and his weathered underground – this project might not be 'new' to the fans who already love and adore this dreamy psych pop band - but their forthcoming march release will be. the new guard celebrates our excitement for this sweet piece of vinyl by asking them to join us a little early as we warm away january blues. the performance will be a unique, acoustic affair to celebrate the intimate and one-of-a-kind evenings we love to partake in. required viewing. – JV
